| School | Sue teaches in a middle school at Sorell. This is a country school with approximately 1000 students from K-12. This year she will be teaching Grade 8 students in maths, English, health, SOSE (Study of Society and Environment) as well as Japanese Grades 7 and 8. Sue is also interested in ' virtual schooling '. | |
| Family History | For all the family history drop Sue a line. She has the family tree documented and can supply GEDCOM files for those who are interested. The main surnames Sue is dealing with are DAVEY (Devon 1830's), COLEGRAVE (around Bedford, UK 1830's), ENGLAND (Rotherham, UK 1820's) and CHANDLER (Rotherhithe, UK 1830's). All these families eventually migrated to Australia and landed in Tasmania as either convicts or free settlers. Sue has also done a lot of chatting at the genealogy chat room highlighted here. | |
| Square and Round Dancing | Sue teaches round dancing which is similar to ballroom except instead of learning the whole dance, you learn a variety of steps which are then called out by the cuer. Sue runs her own club in southern Tasmania and travels to the north of the state to teach rounds at least every 2 months. She is also secretary of the 45th Australian Square Dance Convention which is to be held in Hobart, Tasmania over the June long weekend in 2004. | |
| Amateur Radio | Sue has had her licence for over 20 years now but only gets on the air during October when Scouts and Guides around the world are participating in JOTA (Jamboree on the Air). Maybe she will get a station set up at her home in the near future and will get on the airwaves more often. | |
